Julius interviews Ask Løvbjerg Abildgaard, President of Dansk Blindesamfund, on the current situation of visually impaired people in Denmark.
Ask Løvbjerg Abildgaard explains the main tasks of the organisation, like addressing the decreasing rates of education levels among young blind and partially sighted persons in Denmark.
The President of Dansk Blindesamfund is also very engaged in the matter of disability policy-making. In this sense, he highlights that municipalities must realise that rehabilitation of visually impaired people is a specialised task which needs to be handled by higher administrative levels.”
